Cirkel Group is a Surinamese group of companies founded on March 1st, 1995. With a history of representing worldwide recognized brands in hospitality, including KFC, Pizza Hut, Courtyard by Marriott and Cinnabon, the company has grown into a diverse enterprise anchored in Suriname. Highly motivated and dedicated employees, with a total of 650, are the key factor responsible for the success and growth of Cirkel Group. In addition, an ongoing commitment to delivering quality products and services, as well as the insight and ability to capitalize on opportunities in an ever-changing and challenging environment has contributed to Cirkel Group’s success. With the founder, Arun Hindori, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, the Group keeps exploring opportunities for sustainable growth.

KFC Suriname
The first international quick service restaurant franchise to open its doors in Suriname was KFC, proudly introduced by Cirkel Group in September 1996. This milestone not only reshaped local dining habits but also set a new standard for the quick service restaurant industry in Suriname.
Thanks to its immediate success and the love it received from customers, KFC Suriname continued to grow steadily, celebrating the opening of its eighth location, in Meerzorg, Commewijne, further expanding its presence across the country.
KFC Suriname has earned recognition as a top-ranked brand builder in the Caribbean and Latin America, especially following the recent acquisition of KFC Aruba.
KFC Aruba
In 2024, KFC Suriname proudly announced the official takeover of KFC Aruba, as a major milestone in the Caribbean expansion journey. This achievement is a testament to the dedication of the team, the loyalty of its customers, and the strong focus on consistently delivering freshly prepared food every day.
Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut’s first restaurant in Suriname opened in March 1998. Suriname was finally able to enjoy freshly prepared pizzas made famous by the brand around the world. Pizza Hut’s reputation for being the only quality pizza in town, combined with excellent service, resulted in its unmatched popularity as a restaurant the whole family could enjoy. Popular local toppings were added to the menu to create consumer recognition and excitement.
With the expansion of delivery, Pizza Hut continues to provide the optimized service desired by consumers. Within the region, Pizza Hut Suriname is one of the highest ranked restaurants in performance.
To meet the increasing demand, a third restaurant is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2025.
Cirkel Direct Sales (CDS)
Cirkel Direct Sales (CDS), the main revenue generator of Cirkel Group, was established in 2001. Leveraging the company’s international network, CDS supplies food commodities and grocery items to local wholesalers and retailers across Suriname.
The unit’s success is built on delivering high-quality products at high volumes with low margins, and a focus on long-term supplier partnerships.
Over the years, CDS has developed a nationwide distribution network, providing tailored solutions for each brand and product it represents. This approach ensures flexibility, efficiency, and value for every link in the supply chain.
IMT – Western Union
In October 2000, Cirkel Group proudly expanded its portfolio and national presence by introducing the subsidiary, International Money Transfer (IMT) being an official Western Union agent in Suriname. Ever since, the network has grown to include ten locations across the country.
With over 100,000 inbound and outbound transactions annually, Western Union continues to grow by delivering fast, reliable, and friendly service to its customers.
As part of the global Western Union network, IMT ensures secure and efficient money transfers, connecting Surinamese communities with more than 500,000 agent locations in over 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Courtyard by Marriott Paramaribo
Twin Hotels N.V. is the franchise entity of the Courtyard by Marriott Paramaribo Hotel, of which Arun Hindori holds 61% ownership stake. The remaining shares are held by respected local investment institutions.
In June 2009, this prestigious 138-room hotel opened its doors along the Suriname River, becoming the first international franchise hotel concept in the country.
The hotel is managed by an experienced hotel management company, which has successfully implemented and upheld the highest international Marriott brand standards. As a result, Courtyard by Marriott Paramaribo has earned a reputation as Suriname’s top-ranked business and luxury hotel, offering guests a luxurious experience with outstanding service.
Cinnabon
Cirkel Group Nederland N.V. obtained the franchise rights for Cinnabon in the Netherlands in 2011. Known for its “World Famous Cinnamon Rolls,” Cinnabon is an American bakery concept specializing in freshly baked goods and now operates in over 60 countries worldwide.
Presently, 5 bakeries are established in the four big cities, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Utrecht, and The Hague. This presence has resulted in significant sales and brand awareness.
